Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Company legal name], [registered address], Ethiopia ("Niledating", "we", "us"). They apply to the Niledating Telegram Mini App, the @Niledatebot Telegram bot and the website niledating.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Niledating

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.
  • You must have a Telegram account and share your phone number through Telegram when asked. One account per person and per phone number.
  • You may not use the Service if we have previously banned you, or if you are prohibited from using it under applicable law.

2. How matching works

Niledating matches men with women. You choose the age range you want to see. A match happens when two members both like each other; only then can you chat, unless you use a Premium feature that lets you send a message first. Your gender is set when you join and cannot be changed later.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information: your real first name, real date of birth and real, recent photos of yourself.
  • Keep your Telegram account secure; you are responsible for activity on your Niledating account.
  • You can pause or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting is permanent.

4. Community rules

You agree not to:

  • impersonate anyone, use someone else's photos, or create fake or duplicate accounts;
  • post content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, discriminatory, harassing or illegal;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate anyone;
  • ask for or send money, gifts, investments, or financial or banking details; promote businesses or services; or send spam or scams;
  • share another person's private information without their consent;
  • use the Service for prostitution, escort services or human trafficking, or involve any person under 18;
  • record, screenshot or share other members' content or private messages to harm or embarrass them;
  • use bots, scripts or scraping, or try to break, overload or get around the security of the Service.

We may review content and reports, remove content, and warn, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. Please report anything that worries you from the member's profile or chat.

5. Safety

We work to keep Niledating safe, including phone confirmation, optional photo verification and report review, but we cannot guarantee the identity, intentions or behaviour of any member. You are responsible for your interactions with other members. Take care when meeting someone: meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you have met online.

6. Premium, purchases and payments

  • Free use: creating a profile, swiping (up to a daily limit), matching and chatting are free.
  • Premium plans (Silver, Gold, Platinum and any others we offer) and one-off items (such as Super Likes and Boosts) are paid in Ethiopian birr. Prices are shown in the app before you pay and may change; a change does not affect a plan you have already paid for.
  • How payment works: you pay one of our listed accounts from your own bank or wallet app and enter the transaction reference. Your purchase is activated once the payment is confirmed. Enter the reference accurately; a payment we cannot confirm will not activate a purchase until it is resolved.
  • Plan length: a plan lasts for the period you bought and does not renew automatically. We remind you before it ends.
  • Free trial: new members may receive a free Premium trial, once per person. It ends automatically.
  • Refunds: payments are non-refundable, including for unused time or items, except where required by law or where we cannot provide what you paid for because of an error on our side. Contact [email protected] about any payment problem.
  • Photo verification fee: if you pay for verification and your selfie is rejected, the fee is not refunded. If we ask you to send a new selfie, that new attempt is free.
  • If your account is suspended or banned for breaking these Terms, you lose any remaining Premium time without a refund.

7. Your content

You own the photos, text and other content you post. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it only to run and improve the Service (for example, showing your profile to other members). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with other members in chats or copies we must keep by law. You confirm you have the right to post your content and that it follows these Terms.

8. Advertising

The Service may show sponsored cards from third-party advertisers. We are not responsible for advertisers' products, services or websites.

9. Our rights and the Service

  • We may change, suspend or stop features, or the Service, at any time.
  • The Niledating name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.
  • The Service relies on Telegram and other third parties; we are not responsible for their availability or actions.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that you will find a match. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the conduct of any member on or off the Service, or for losses arising from your use of the Service. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim.

11. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect members or the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as payments owed, your content licence for content already shared, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue after your account ends.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app or through our bot before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any complaint. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the competent courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
